In today’s fast-paced world, people and organizations are straddling from certainty to
uncertainty in a heartbeat. Kotter (2012) contends that globalization has forced organizations to transform at unprecedented levels. The operations and structures of the organizations are now compelled to undergo continuous and frequent changes due to global rivalry from its competitors. Change in the organization is an ever-present feature at all levels in the organization. However, implementing change in most organizations is a huge challenge.
The People side of Organizations has been a cornerstone of Organizational civilization, evolving from the earliest practices christened Personnel management to the complex global People Management models we see today. Despite this long history, the fundamental aspects of this People profession have remained relatively unchanged for thousands of years, with only a few major revolutions significantly altering its discussion space in industry.
